It’s critical for leaders to see the importance of resource planning/budgeting. It’s required to deliver the right results without burning people out. In short, it helps avoid a culture of “scarcity.” (An environment wherein employees are forced to focus on survival amidst insufficient resources.)
Participants in this module learn to use the “STOP” model to assess resource needs from a Strategy, Tools, Operations, and People perspective. They'll also start to see budgeting/resource planning as a process requiring frequent reviews and checks to ensure alignment with current and future demands. In addition they'll understand the concept of “pressure points” caused by multi-directional resource demands.
Three levels of resource request and strategic multi-voting is also shared, culminating in instruction on how to take a "sales pitch" approach to securing resources for the team.
